A quorum not being present meeting was recessed until a
later date.
MINUTES OF REUESSED MEETING OF' THE C1'1'Y COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DANIA,FLORIDA, HELD WEDNESDAY MAY
2ond 1945.
Present;- Mayor George w.Kelly
Councilmen;- A.J.Ryan
C.S.Parkhurst
W.S.Parker.
Leonard Brooke.
Meeting called to order by Mayor kelly at 8:00 P.M.
Mintitngsof meetings held during the month of April, read
approved as read and ordered adopted.
Mr. M.E.Berry came before the Council and presented a plat of
anproposed subdivision of Nassau Heights for the Councils approval.
Councilman Parkhurst moved that plat be approved and Subdivision
be accpted, motion seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried.
Della Chunn came before the council and requested that Nw.2ond
Street be r ocked from the railroad west to N.W.5th ave* and that
NW 4th ave. be rocked From NW 2ond street past her property.
The Clerk was instructed to have these streets put in a passable
condition when possible to have it done.
Mr. A.G.Bosworth came before the Council in reguards to having
S.W.10th street paved. refered to the Street Committee.
The Clerk presented an application for transfer of liquor license
From H.R.Williams to Jack Cooper, Tabled for further investigation.
The Clerk presented an application for transfer of Wine and beer
license for red wagon wheel Barbecue Stand. From Ella Towey to
Nona Millard. Councilman Parkhurst moved that transfer be granted
motinn seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried.
Councilman Parkhurst moved that a charge of $5.00 for transfer of
wine and beer licenses and a Fee of $ 25.00 for transfer of liq-
uor licenses to pay for investigation and clerical fees, Motion
Seconded by Councilman Brooke and carried.
Councilman Ryan reccomended that an ordinance be adopted regulatb
ing and controlling smoke and Smoot from laundries and factories,
Attorney Ellis was instructed to draw up such an ordinance.
