MINUTES OF RECESSED MELTING OF THE CITY COUNCIL

Meeting called to order by Mayor Pro-Ten Arooke
at 8:00 P.M.
Minutes of meetings held during the month of February
read, approved as read and ordered adopted.
Mayor Kelly came into the meeting at this time but
did not take the chair.
A petition from property owners on the Davie Road
requesting that the Garbage Dump be cleaned up and dumping
of garbage and other rubbish along the Davie road be stopped.
Councilman Ryan moved that the petition be referred to
the sanitation Committee motion seconded by Councilman Parkhurst
and carried.
The Clerk presented an application for transfer of
wine and beer license from Lonzo Turner to Mattis Miller,
Mayor Kelly moved that transfer be granted motion
seconded by councilman Parkhurst and carried.
Councilman Ryan reported on filling the Canal lying
south of Dania Beach road, he reported that he had investigated
this matter and presented Mr.Byron Snyder of S.P.Snyder and son
to give his estimate on the work, Mr Snyder came before the
Council and reported that he would haul the fill for 40 cents
per cubic yard, that the city would have to furnish the leveling
machine and clear the Brush from the sides of the Canal.
Councilman Ryan Reccomended that Mr. Snyder be hired th fill the
Canal, Cut the Brush and haul the fill useing his loading machine '
to load the fill and the Countie13 leveling machine.
Councilman Kelly moved that Mr.Snyder be hired to fill the canal
and to begin the work as soon as possible, useing the County's
Labor and machines if it is more eoconimical to do so. Motion
seconded by Councilman Ryan and carried.

Requesting the City Council to prohibit the keeping of live
[- stock in the city limits east of the F.E.C.Ry Tracks.
t Attorney Ellis was instructed to draw up an ordinance prohibiting
the keeping of Live Stock within the City limits East of the
F.E.C.Ry Tracks.

The City Clerk reported that Mrs. R.A.Hudsons taxes had been
paid twice and requested permission to refund one payment.
Councilman Ryan Moved that Wss.Hudsons overpayment of taxes
be refunded, Motion Seconded by Mayor Kelly and carried.
The Clerk presented an application from Mr. A.H.Morford for
the purchase of City owned tax sale certificates on lots 1,2 & 3
Block 28 Town of Dania.
Councilman Ryan moved that Certificates be sold to Mr. .Morford,
Motion Seconded by Councilman Parker and carried.
The Clerk presented an application From Major Dania Inc to
purchase tax sale certificates on .lot 20 Block 45 lot 11 Block 22
lot 18 Block 40 North Hollywood and Lot 14 Block 9 Town of Dania.
The Clerk was instructed to notify the Owneus.
Councilman Parkhurst reccomended that the City install
a radio in the Police Car-
Councilman-Mayor Kelly moved that the Police Committee be
instructed to investigate and if a Police Radio could be obtained
for a sum not to exceed $600.00 that the Committee be authorized
to purchase one. Motion seconded by Councilman Parkhurst and
` carried.

Motion seconded by Councilman Parker and carried.
Councilman Ryan Moved that all telephone calls be stopped
