Motion made by Edward Bourgeois to excuse Lottye Crooms and Angeline Flowers, seconded
by Patrick Schilling. Motion passed unanimously.
1) Amendment of the City of Dania Beach's Comprehensive Plan by adopting a Public
School Facilities Element.
Laurence Leeds, AICP, Director Community Development addressed the board to

explain proposed comprehensive plan
the requirements for school concurrency and the
amendment. Mr. Leeds indicated that the proposed element has been recommended by
Broward County and that staff recommends approval of the comprehensive plan
amendment by adopting the Public School Facilities Element. Mr. Leeds noted for the
record that none of the schools that serve Dania Beach are over capacity.
Discussion of school capacity in Dania Beach and the surrounding schools located in
Hollywood.
Chairman Fetscher opened the item for public comment, hearing no one or seeing no one
the public hearing was closed.
Hearing no further discussion, a motion was made by Edward Bourgeois, seconded by
Patrick Schilling to recommend approval of the proposed Public School Facilities
Element. Motion passed on the following roll call:
Edward Bourgeois — yes Patrick Schilling — yes
Paul Fetscher — yes
Local Planning agency meeting was adjourned at 7:06 pm.
