The chairman of the board called to order the regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board at 7 .33 P.M. ROLL CALL PRESENT Sam Calandra, Chairman Howard Blackman, Vice Chairman Morris Schockett Audrey Cassese Irving Spindell OTHERS PRESENT Paul Maxwell , Building Official ABSENT Frank Adler, City Attorney A motion was made by Audrey Cassese and seconded by Howard Blackmon to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of planning and zoning board of December 3 , 1985 . The motion passed unanimously. RECOMMENDATIONS i Recommendations made at this Planning and Zoning Board Meeting for items VA-105-85 and VC-03-86 will be submitted for the City (Commission meeting of January 14 , 1986 . Recommendations made for PL-02-86 will be submitted for the Consent agenda (First Reading) of January 14 , 1986 , and for the Public Hearing (Second Reading) of January 28 , 1986 . k VA-105-85 A Variance request to construct a Canopy Carport in an RD 6000 zoning district with a 2 foot front yard setback (25 feet required) . Petitioner - Henriette L. Wicks; Owner - Nancy Linderman. Property located at 211 SW 1st Court. Legally described as Lot 26 , Block B, Subdivision, PARKHILL AMENDED PLAT. Ms. Henriette L. Wicks , petitioner, was present to speak on behalf of the variance request. Chairman Calandra opened the public hearing. Hearing comments from Rose Marshall in favor of the variance, the Chairman closed the public hearing. s A motion was made by Audrey Cassese, seconded by Morris Schockett to recommend approval for the variance (VA-105-85 ) to Henriette L. Wicks. The motion passed unanimously. The chairman advised the petitioner to appear before the City Commission at the next regular City Commission meeting.,, 1 'k VC-03 86 A request to Vacate portion of Plat non-access line and close off existing opening . Petitioner - Richard W. Stoinoff; Owner - Anne Gottlieb. Property located at 4080 Ravenswood Road. t Legally described as the South 30 .00 feet of the North 92 .00 feet of the non-vehicular access line lying on the West boundary of Parcel 'A' of "GOTTLIEB SUBDIVISION" as recorded in Plat Book 125 , Page 1 of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida. Mr. Richard Stoinoff, of 4880 S .W. 36th Court, Pembroke Park, was present to represent the vacation request. Mr. Maxwell discussed the specific details of the vacation request. Paul stated that the City would no problem with the vacation if there no problems from the County, and that the petitioner would have to have County approval. Chairman Calandra opened the public hearing. Hearing no one speak in favor or opposition, the chairman closed the public hearing. A motion was made by Audrey Cassese, seconded by orris Schockett to recommend approval for the vacation VC-03-86 ) for Richard Stoinoff . The motion passed unanimously. The chairman advised the petitioner to appear before the City Commission at the next regular City Commission meeting. PL-02-86 A Plat approval request for the Carib Plat II (Containing 2.35 more or less) . Petitioner/Owner - Jacques and Susan Gallet. Property located at 101 S.W. 12th Avenue. Legally described as the W 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 34 , Township 50 South, Range 42 East , Less the North 25 feet and less that portion lying within the South 340 feet of the South line of said Section 34 . Said lands situate, lying and being in the City of Dania, Broward County, Florida, and containing 2 .352 acres, more or less. Harry Miller of, 1900 N. 31st Ave. , Hollywood, waspresent to represent the request for a plat approval. Paul Maxwell stated that the petitioner should meet with the City Engineer to work out the specific needs as fax as the dedication or easement for S.W. llth Avenue. After discussion, the chairman opened the public haring. Hearing no one speak in favor or opposition, the c airman closed the public hearing. A motion was made by Morris Schockett, seconded byl' Irving Spindell to recommend approval of the plat request (PL-02-86 ) for Jacques and Susan Gallet , contingent upon approval form the City Engineer for additional right of way. The motion passed unanimously. The chairman advised the petitioner to appear before the City Commission at the next regular City Commission meeting. A motion was made by Audrey Cassese, seconded by Morris Schockett to adjourn this session of the Planning and Zoning Board meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
