The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rogers at 7:35 PM

application documents.

9.1 Edward Baxter
Retired Police Officer Edward Baxter passed away on February 27, 2009.
The system made a $100.00 donation to the Diabetes Foundation
in Edward Baxter's name as requested in his obituary by the family.
9.2 Attorneys Report
Various pension conferences were discussed. Attorney Sugarman
discussed with the Board Bill HR 710 introduced into Congress
last month that would specifically help public pension plans garner a
sizable stable investment return if passed.
9.3 Division of Retirement 30"' Annual Pension Trustees School
Trustee Carolyn Jones opened discussion with the Board inquiring
About the forthcoming Police Officers' and Firefighters' Pension
Trustees School scheduled for May 18-20, 2009 held at FSU.
Since the legislative session is scheduled to end on May 1, the
School will discuss any legislation that passes affecting the
Chapters 175 and 185 plans.
MOTION by Vince Marlin to approve expenses for any Trustee
wishing to attend the Division of Retirement School to be held
May 18-20, 2009 in Tallahassee at FSU.
