A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA
ESTABLISHING SPECIAL EVENT APPLICATION FEES FOR EVENTS
HELD WITHIN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the following special event application fees, inclusive of sales tax,
are established for events proposed to be conducted within the City, per event:
(a) $100.00 for weddings;
$150.00 for all other events.
(b) Special events involving Fire Inspections require payment of an additional
amount of$280.00 per special event.
(c) Special events requiring the use of personnel from the Fire Department
shall require advance payment of the applicable hourly overtime rate.
(d) Special events requiring the use of personnel from the Broward Sheriffs
Office shall require advance payment of the applicable special detail rate.
(e) Special events requiring the use of City lifeguards shall require advance
payment of the applicable hourly overtime rate, including benefits.
(f) Small gatherings such as children's birthday parties at any City park
requires payment of a fee of$50.00 for 25 participants or less, and $100.00 for 26 participants or
more.
(g) A late fee of$75.00 will be assessed for any application that is received by
the City sixty (60) days or less before the date(or starting date) of the event.
Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.

$100.00 Private Parties (over 26 participants)
$50.00 Small Parties (under 25 participants)
Special events requiring the use of Broward Sheriff's Office
shall require advance payment of the applicable special detail
rate.
Special Events requiring the use of personnel from the Fire
Department or the use of City Lifeguards shall require advance
payment of the applicable overtime rate.
A late fee of $75.00 will be assessed for any application that is
received by the City sixty (60) days or less before the date (or
starting date) of the event.
Rental rates are subject to the applicable 6% sales tax.
