A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH BROWARD COUNTY THAT PROVIDES FOR
FUNDING AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE 34T" YEAR COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAMS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$226,192.00; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach has been awarded $226,192.00 in Community
Development Block Grant Funds for the 34° Year Program for the purpose of providing solar
street lights in CDBG-eligible areas of the City; and
WHEREAS,the City Manager has determined that it is advantageous for the City of Dania
Beach to participate in the program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the proper City officials are authorized to execute an Agreement
between Broward County and the City of Dania Beach for the 34`h Year Program for the purpose
of providing solar street lights in eligible program areas.
Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes and directs creation of appropriate
Grant Fund accounts and the appropriation of funds received under the grant.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
