DANIA BEACH MARINE ADVISORY BOARD
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 2010— 6:00 P.M.
1. Call to Order
Chairman Clive Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.

3. Approval of minutes of meeting for December 16, 2009.
Gary Rowe motioned for approval of minutes, seconded by Craig McAdams. The motion passed
unanimously.
4. Reports and Discussion
Chairman Taylor requested the board to review the Marine Advisory Committee Quarterly
Report for the Broward County Marine Advisory Grant approval for channel markers on the
South Fork of the New River and the Derelict Removal Grant. He noted the board recommends
the city move forward with the plans for the Dania Beach Marina. Chairman Taylor also noted
the board is still willing to review plans and assists the City Manager's Office with getting the
Broward County Marine Advisory Committee approval.
Chairman Taylor advised the board is still recommending the city to provide for non-powered
water craft storage rental north of the pier and board members are willing to volunteer.
The board discussed the US.I Bridge and is recommending the city to contact F.I.N.D. (Florida
Inland Navigational District) Board Member Nancy Ingle, to include in the contract repair to the
U.S. 1 Bridge along with the dredging for Dania Cut-Off Canal.
The proposed Boater's Park was discussed. Craig McAdams volunteered to try and find the
Park's owner.
The board would like to have input into the future use of the Pier Restaurant.
4.2 Marine Law Enforcement
Jason Riddle, of the BSO Marine Unit noted an 18 foot hull was found abandoned at the boat
ramps at 30`h Avenue. He said the owner is being located. Jason also noted two vessels on South
Fork of the New River are being investigated.
