Call to Order Chairman Clive Taylor called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. 2. Roll Call Members Present Clive Taylor, Chairman Mike Grady Craig McAdams Gary Rowe Debby Bradford Ronald Brozic Deputy Jason Riddle Peggy McKenna Albert Owler Members Absent Clayton Bailey (unexcused) Timothy Scanlon (excused) Carol Stokrocki (excused) James Reckert (excused) Rhonda Buckner (unexcused) Tommy Molinconico (unexcused) Guest Steve Burrell, Broward County Marine Committee Board Member 3. Approval of Minutes of Meeting for February 17, 2010 and February 21 2010. Craig McAdams motioned to approve the minutes, seconded by Mike Grady. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Chairman's Report Chairman Clive Taylor noted the Marine Advisory Board was invited to attend the interview process with the three candidates for The Dania Beach Management Contract. He noted the Marine Advisory Board visited the Dania Beach Marina and unanimously voted 40/60 on day usage and rental. Chairman Taylor stated to the board that he advised the City Commission of the repair request for the two docks that are disconnected and three ramps that are needed for the floating docks for easy public access. He said the request made by the Marine Board should be the first order of business by the awarded bidder of the contract. He stated this will be an advantage for the marina before advertising to help increase possible dockage. Mike Grady suggested the Sun-Sentinel do a story on the present and future of the marina, as this will help with public notoriety. Debbie Bradford questioned the bids; if there were different prices quoted in their presentations, or were the candidates being chosen by merit. Chairman Taylor advised the board members that they can request to have a copy of the Marina Contract as this will give them more information on the proposals and qualifications for the Dania Beach Marine Management Contract. Guest Speaker, Steve Burrell, member of the Broward County Marine Committee, advised the board along with Chairman Taylor, of the selection of engineers for the design of the marina and noted the Broward County Commission is open to the City of Dania Beach Marine Board being involved from the ground floor, giving the engineers a scope of ideas. 5. Solar Lighting- All Board Members Chairman Taylor noted the board questioned the absence of solar lighting at the 30th Avenue boat ramp and would like to address the matter to Assistant City Manager Colin Donnelly. 6. Law Enforcements Marine Report No reports. 7. Board Member Comments No Comments. 8.
