RESOLUTION NO. 2010-136
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, RELATING TO CHANGE ORDER NO. 8 FOR THE NEW
PUBLIC SERVICES ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, REALLOCATING
ALLOWANCES FOR NO NET INCREASE IN TIME OR COST; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission under Resolution 2008-173 approved contracting
with West Construction, Inc. for the building of anew Public Services Administration Building;
and
WHEREAS, additional work is required which items are not addressed in the original
scope of work as follows:
Allowance for Undefined Field Conditions - Footer Modifications $32,936.00
Allowance for Undefined Field Conditions - Hauling of Fill $16,399.15
Allowance for permit fees - transfer to Field Conditions ($70,000.00)
Net Increase in Undefined Field Condition Allowance 20 664.85; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission awarded West Construction, Inc. the construction
contract in the amount of$3,047,000.00 in September 23, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the contract contained a series of allowances intended to address issues that
could not be adequately bid prior to construction; and
WHEREAS,the allowances would be redistributed as follows:

WHEREAS, there is no increase in time and no increase in the value for the Change
Order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the foregoing findings are incorporated this by reference and made a
part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That the City of Dania Beach, Florida hereby approves Change Order No.
8 to the Public Services Facility Project with no increase in time and no increase in the value,
and the proper City Officials are authorized to execute it.
Section 3. That all resolutions or part of Resolutions in conflict with any of the
provisions of this Resolution are repealed.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on August 10, 2010.
