HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2011-042 - Recertifying a Charter School application with a Marine, Automotive & Aviation emphasis for FY 7/1/11-6/30/12 & supporting recertification for approval of Community Contribution Tax Credit Projects RESOLUTION NO. 2011-042 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, RECERTIFYING A CHARTER SCHOOL APPLICATION WITH A MARINE, AUTOMOTIVE AND AVIATION EMPHASIS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2011 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2012 AND SUPPORTING RECERTIFICATION TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR APPROVAL OF COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTION TAX CREDIT PROJECTS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the development of a charter school with a marine, automotive and aviation emphasis developed within its boundaries furthers the goals, objectives and policies of the Dania Beach Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach has the opportunity to receive donations of real property, cash and services to projects within its Enterprise Zones; and WHEREAS, such projects must be recertified by the State of Florida's Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development; and WHEREAS, recertification forms must be submitted which set forth an Agency Profile and Application for Sponsor Recertification; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that it is advantageous for the City of Dania Beach to recertify the Application for Sponsor Recertification in the Community Contribution Tax Credit Projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the project identified in the application mentioned above, a charter school with a marine, automotive and aviation emphasis, is consistent with local plans and regulations of the City of Dania Beach, Florida. Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to submit the recertification forms referenced above. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4.
