A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR A FUND TRANSFER AND
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR WHITE & CASE, LLP; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Dania Beach approved a budget for
fiscal year 2011 in September 2010; and
WHEREAS, the Airport legal services is expected to exceed its original approved budget
of$250,000.00 by an amount of$163,411.55 up to and through March 2011, and further funds
will be needed for legal service costs through September 30, 2011; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the Airport Reserve Account, which has a present
balance of $367,534.00, be used to pay the shortfall and any remaining Airport litigation
expenses for the remainder of the present fiscal year;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Administration is authorized and directed to amend the
approved 2011 fiscal year City budget as follows:
Appropriation of funds from:
General Fund-Airport Reserve $367,534.00
Appropriation of funds to:
Legal Department-Airport#001-1400-514-31.50 $367,534.00
Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
