Parker Dock Replacement RESOLUTION NO. 2011-132 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING ADVANCE APPROVAL FROM THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH FOR ADVERTISEMENT OF THE CAPITAL PROJECT KNOWN AS THE I.T. PARKER DOCK REPLACEMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, Section 2-16 of the City Code of Ordinances provides that the CRA and all City Departments, Divisions and City Staff, prior to placing an item on a City Commission agenda for formal City Commission approval for competitive bidding or for waiver of bidding, shall obtain advance City Commission conceptual approval by Resolution of any proposed capital project or capital purchase appropriated in the City Budget approved by the City Commission when bidding would otherwise be required, and the Resolution shall also identify all sources of planned funding, including appropriations of available cash balances, loans and grants; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is ready for the advertisement of the capital project known as the I.T. Parker Dock Replacement Project; and WHEREAS, this project is planned to be funded from the Florida Inland Navigation District Assistance Program (F.I.N.D.) Grant which was approved by the City Commission on August 23, 2011 in an amount of$24,400.00 representing the required in kind match that adds to the separately approved City Capital Project Fund appropriation of$24,400,00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Parks and Recreation Department is authorized to proceed with bidding of the capital project known as the I.T. Parker Dock Replacement Project. Section 2. That funding in a total amount of $48,800.00 is currently planned and appropriated for this project in the following City Funds: • Capital Project Fund—I.T. Parker Dock Replacement $24,400.00 • Grant Fund—Find Grant I.T. Parker Dock Replacement $24,400.00 Total 48 800.00. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4.
