SPECIAL MEETING
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 29, 2012 - 6:00 P.M.
ANY PERSON WHO DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE WITH REGARD TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THIS
MEETING OR HEARING WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE MAY NEED TO ENSURE
THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE
UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
LOBBYIST REGISTRATION REQUIRED-REGISTRATION AS A LOBBYIST IN THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH IS REQUIRED IF ANY

4.4 Resolution#2012-CRA-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY BOARD OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR A BUDGET AMENDMENT
TRANSFERRING AND CONSOLIDATING A PORTION OF CURRENTLY
APPROPRIATED FUNDS FOR THE COLLEGE GARDENS CAPITAL PROJECT INTO THE
DANIA BEACH HEIGHTS CAPITAL PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
RESOLUTION NO. 2012-CRA-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
BOARD OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR A
BUDGET AMENDMENT TRANSFERRING AND CONSOLIDATING A
PORTION OF CURRENTLY APPROPRIATED FUNDS FOR THE COLLEGE
GARDENS CAPITAL PROJECT INTO THE DANIA BEACH HEIGHTS
CAPITAL PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission for the City of Dania Beach approved a budget for the
2011 and 2012 fiscal year that reflected appropriations for Capital Projects including College
Gardens and Dania Beach Heights; and
WHEREAS, the remaining balances from 2011 Capital Project appropriations have been
carried over and adjusted in the approved fiscal year 2012 budget of the Community
Redevelopment Agency(CRA) as follows
College Gardens $ 340,000.00
Dania Beach Heights 599,800.00
Total $ 939,800.00; and
WHEREAS, the CRA Director recommends that appropriations in the amount of
$260,000.00 for Neighborhood Beautifications in the College Gardens capital project be
combined with the Dania Beach Heights capital project to form a single, consolidated
Neighborhood Beautification capital project to be titled "Neighborhood Beautification - College
Gardens & Dania Beach Heights", in a total combined project budget appropriation amount of
$850,000.00, with the remaining $80,000.00 appropriation for other College Gardens
improvements remaining unchanged and available as originally approved; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Dania Beach Community
Redevelopment Agency recognizes and acknowledges that combining the two separate projects
into a single, consolidated project appropriation allows costs to be used for both original projects
without limitation and further, that this changes the financial, budget and reporting controls to a
single combined project total(rather than each project separately);
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
Section 1. That the proper officials are authorized and directed to amend the
approved 2012 fiscal year CRA budget as follows:
Appropriation of funds FROM:
CRA Fund—College Gardens
Neighborhood Beautification(63-44) $ 260,000.00
Total Appropriations FROM $ 260,000.00
Appropriation of funds TO:
CRA Fund—Dania Beach Heights
Neighborhood Beautification(#63-44) $ 250,200.00
CRA Admin. - Professional Services (#31-10) 9,800.00
Total Appropriations TO: $ 260,000.00
Section 2. The combined Beautification project funds are available for use in any
regard up to the total project appropriation of$850,000, and the combined budget total can be
used for either project area without limitation.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
