RESOLUTION NO. 2012-039 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH SPORTS TURF ONE, INC., RELATING TO THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE LASER GRADING AND RE- SODDING OF THE C.W. THOMAS FOOTBALL FIELD PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $86,793.00; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 3, 2012, the City received bid proposals for the laser grade and re-sod project for the C.W. Thomas Park Football Field; and WHEREAS, the City bid selection committee recommended a ranking of respondents to the bid and, further, recommends that the most responsive and responsible bidder, Sports Turf One, Inc., be selected to perform the work; and WHEREAS, this project has an approved funding appropriation of $65,000.00 and will require an additional Commission budget appropriation of$21,793.00 in order to have sufficient resources for the total proposed bid cost of$86,793.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the foregoing findings are incorporated by this reference. Section 2. That the bid shall be awarded to the low bidder, Sports Turf One, Inc. in the amount not to exceed $86,793.00 and the proper City officials are authorized to execute the contract for the work; provided, however that no contract will become effective unless and until City officials complete execution of it. Section 3. That $65,000.00 of this project's approved funding is available in the General Fund, Recreation - C.W. Thomas, Capital Purchase Account No. 001-72-03-572-63-10 and the Commission authorizes the transfer of $21,793.00 from available General Fund - Contingency account balances to provide additional appropriations needed for the total bid award cost of$86,793.00. Section 4. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to the terms of documents related to the work as are deemed necessary and proper for the best interests of the City. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6.
