A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, ENGAGING PUBLIC UTILITY MANAGEMENT AND
PLANNING SERVICES, INC., A CONSULTING ENGINEER, FOR AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,000.00 FOR CONSTRUCTION
SUPERVISION OF THE INFILTRATION AND INFLOW PHASE III
PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE A
WORK ORDER; PROVIDING ASSURANCES; PROVIDING FOR FUNDING;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (the "FDEP")
approved the City to begin incurring costs for the City's Infiltration and Inflow Phase III Project,
amending a previously approved Project No. 79104P on September 3, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the FDEP subsequently awarded the City new loan funding for the Project
using a new Project No. WW061220 from State Revolving Funds in the amount of$848,300.00,
including capitalized interest of $8,300.00, project contingencies of $75,000.00 and project
technical services following bid opening of$15,000.00 on March 1, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission awarded the bid for project construction to Insituform
Technologies, LLC at the April 10, 2012 meeting; and
WHEREAS, Public Services recommends engaging Public Utility Management and
Planning Services, Inc. to perform project technical monitoring and engineering management
services through the completion of this project in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the foregoing recitals are incorporated into this Resolution by this
reference and made a part of it.
Section 2. That the City Commission approves engaging Public Utility Management
and Planning Services, Inc. to perform project technical monitoring and engineering
management services through the completion of Phase III of the Infiltration and Inflow Project
in an amount not to exceed $12,000.00.
Section 3. That funding for these services is provided by and shall be paid from the
approved SRF Loan funding of the Sewer Fund, Infiltration and Inflow Phase III Project from
the project Professional Services Account No. 402-35-02-535-63-95.
Section 4. That all resolutions or part of Resolutions in conflict with any of the
provisions of this Resolution are repealed.
Section 5. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
and adoption.
