A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE TRANSFER OF
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $42,100.00 FROM THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS TO
THE CITY CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND RELATING TO THE US-1/SR-5
RIGHT-OF-WAY LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS, PHASE II PROJECT, TO
PROVIDE FUNDING FOR CONSTRUCTION MONITORING; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach previously approved and established an
appropriation from the General Fund for the US-1/SR-5 Right-of-Way Landscape
Improvements, Phase II Project("Project'); and
WHEREAS, the CRA Director engaged IBI Group, Inc. in August 2012 to perform
construction monitoring services on the City Capital Project using funds from CRA annual
operating budget appropriations; and
WHEREAS, all costs related to the planning, creation and completion of an approved
Capital Project need to be recorded within the Capital Project to allow monitoring of project
costs and in order to properly capitalize total project costs in accordance with generally accepted
governmental accounting principles; and
WHEREAS, the Dania Beach CRA Director has requested a transfer of funding in the an
amount not to exceed $42,100.00 from the CRA budget appropriations to the City Capital
Projects Fund and such funds will be used for construction monitoring;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA:
Section 1. That City Administration is authorized and directed to transfer an amount
not to exceed Forty Two Thousand One Hundred Dollars ($42,100.00) from the Dania Beach
CRA Budget Appropriations-General Operating Division, Consulting Services Account, Account
No. 3110 to the City Capital Project Fund be used for Consulting Service (construction
monitoring) costs relating to the US-1/SR-5 Right-of-Way Landscape Improvements, Phase II
Capital Project.
Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and take effect immediately
upon its passage and adoption.
