A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, RELATING TO THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
BEACH CLEANING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF BID TO
BEACH RAKER, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $79,621.80; AUTHORIZING
THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT;
PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,on August 24, 2012,the City received bids for Beach Cleaning Services; and
WHEREAS, the City's bid selection team evaluated responses received and recommends
the following ranking of proposals:

2°d Most Responsive - MCJ & Prestige $79,350.00
P Most Responsive - FCI Corp. $52,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the City bid selection team recommends that Beach Raker Inc. be selected to
perform the work and that the bid be awarded to that company in the amount of$79,621.80;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City Commission accepts and approves the above recommendation
of bid response rankings.
Section 2. That the Commission approves the bid to be awarded to Beach Raker Inc.
at an annual total cost not to exceed $79,621.80, and further authorizes the proper City officials to
execute an Agreement for these services; provided, however that no agreement will be effective
unless and until City officials complete the execution of the Agreement.
Section 3. That an amount of$63,045.00 was planned and funded for these services in
the Recreation Department FY 2102-2013 Beach Division budget, and therefore, the Commission
authorizes and approves transfer of$16,560.00 of available Contingency Account balances to the
Recreation Beach Division Contract Services Account on or after October 1, 2012, to adequately
fund these services for this bid award.
Section 4. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor
revisions to the Agreement related to the work as are deemed necessary and proper for the best
interests of the City.
Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.
