AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA
REPEALING SECTION 15-12, 'BUSINESS TAX SCHEDULE" OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES AND CREATING A NEW SECTION 15-12, ALSO
ENTITLED 'BUSINESS TAX SCHEDULE" TO PROVIDE FOR A FIVE
PERCENT (5%) INCREASE IN THE ANNUAL BUSINESS TAXES
ASSESSED AGAINST ALL BUSINESS CATEGORIES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 15-12, 'Business Tax Schedule" is repealed, and in its place
a new Section 15-12, 'Business Tax Schedule" is created to read as follows:
Sec. 15-12. Business Tax Schedule.
The amounts which shall be paid by any person or persons, firms or business associations of
any kind maintaining a permanent business location or branch office within the city, for the privilege
of engaging in or managing any business,profession or occupation within the City arc as follows:
Abstract and title companies or agents ... $179.00
Advertising: Advertising agency, agents, canvassers or solicitors (where there is no other applicable
classification) including welcome wagon organizations, greeting service organizations and public
relations firms, for each agent ... as per the below BTS. Persons distributing circulars, pamphlets or
other advertising matter, except local merchants advertising in this way their own goods and
merchandise (with permission to be granted by city manager, in his discretion, and on condition that
the advertising materials not be placed in, or handed into automobiles or thrown on streets, but to be

Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
