RESOLUTION NO. 2016-016 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO AWARD A BID FOR THE OASIS IX NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO DP DEVELOPMENT OF THE TREASURE COAST, LLC IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($147,524.50); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, advertisements for bids were placed in local newspapers in October 2015 for the Oasis IX Neighborhood Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach opened bids for the Oasis IX Neighborhood Improvement Project (Davis Isles/Monroe Udell St) on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:30 am; and WHEREAS, four bids were received as follows: Bidder Base Bid Alternate 1 Alternate 2 Total Bid DP Development of the Treasure Coast $133,949.50 $9,675.00 $3,900.00 $147,524.50 Close Construction, Inc. $136,500.00 $10,500.00 $2,000.00 $149,000.00 Sagaris Corp. $148,780.00 $6,000.00 $2,000.00 $156,780.00 Grelite Corp. Not Eligible WHEREAS, one bidder, Grelite, Inc. was disqualified because it did not attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and its bid was returned; and WHEREAS, the Project Manager recommends that the City award the bid to the low bidder, DP Development of the Treasure Coast, LLC, in the amount of$147,524.50, including the alternates; and WHEREAS, the City bid review committee met on December 18, 2015 and agreed with this recommendation; and WHEREAS, after the bids were received, the Davis Isles neighborhood requested changes to the landscaping,provided that those changes did not affect the total budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are approved, made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City of Dania Beach, Florida awards the bid to the lowest most responsive bidder, DP Development of the Treasure Coast, LLC in the amount of$147,524.50. Section 3. That funding for this project is available and appropriated in the Capital Projects Fund Account Number 301-39-33-541-63-10 in the amount of$160,000.00. Section 4. That the proper City officials are authorized to execute an Agreement with DP Development of the Treasure Coast, LLC. Section 5. That all resolutions or part of Resolutions in conflict with any of the provisions of this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6.
