Call to Order/Roll Call Chairman Salvino called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Present: Chairman: Marco A. Salvino, Sr. Vice-Chairman: Albert C. Jones Board Members: Chickie Brandimarte Paul Fetscher Bobbie H. Grace Executive Director: Rachel Bach City Attorney: Thomas Ansbro CRA Secretary: Louise Stilson 2. Citizen Comments There were no citizen comments at this meeting. 3. Administrative Reports 3.1 Dania Beach 2016 Arts and Seafood Celebration Update CRA Manager Kathleen Weekes reviewed the survey information that was included in the agenda packet related to the Arts and Seafood Festival. Board Member Brandimarte expressed concerns about parking at the casino for next year's celebration. Chairman Salvino felt the VIP lounge should be revamped, prices charged by vendors should be be reduced, the shuttle system needs to be better utilized, and event advertising needs to be enhanced. 3.2 CRA Updates - April and May 2016 Executive Director Bach reviewed the memo that was included in the agenda packet. She noted a draft RFQ for the City Center will be presented to the Board at the July meeting. 4. Presentations 4.1 CRA 2016 City Employee Commendation Award to Larry Nadeau Executive Director Bach presented a commendation award to Larry Nadeau, Trades Mechanic II, Public Services Department, for outstanding service to the CRA. 5. Consent Agenda 5.1 Minutes: Approve Minutes of April 26, 2016 CRA Board Meeting Approve Minutes of May 25, 2016 Workshop - CRA Executive Director Position 5.2 Travel Requests: None 5.3 Approve a Fagade and Exterior Grant for TNT Fireworks, located at 768 East Dania Beach Boulevard, in amount not to exceed $20,000.00 5.4 Approve rescheduling CRA Board meetings from July 12, 2016 to July 26, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., and from August 9, 2016 to August 23, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. 5.5 RESOLUTION NO. 2016-CRA-004 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA") OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CRA OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT WITH GABOTON GROUP, LLC TO PROVIDE FEDERAL PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND LEGISLATIVE SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;FURTHER,PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Board Member Grace motioned to approve the Consent Agenda; seconded by Vice- Chairman Jones. The motion carried unanimously. 6. Proposals and Bids There were no proposals on this agenda. 7. Discussion and Possible Action Director Bach noted she would like to schedule a workshop at the end of the month to discuss priorities. Vice-Chairman Jones asked what we are doing to ensure that the loan to grant will be forgiven, and what the strategy and plan is to move this forward. Minutes of Regular Meeting 2 Dania Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Tuesday,June 14,2016—6:00 p.m. Director Bach responded she will soon be meeting with County staff. She has already done some of the calculations, and has a proposal to forgive a portion of the $2.3 million due in March 2018. We should also be on schedule for the other portion of the loan due in 2019. Mayor Salvino commented that as the Dania Pointe project comes aboard, the entire loan amount should be forgiven. 8.
