HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2021-194 Cultural Planning Group, LLC Bid Award for Public Art Plan Administrator (RFP 21-030)RESOLUTION NO.2021-194 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ("RFP") NO. 21-030, ENTITLED "PUBLIC ART PLAN ADMINISTRATOR" TO THE CULTURAL PLANNING GROUP, LLC, IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach adopted its Public Art Plan on June 22, 2021; and WHEREAS, the City issued Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 21-030 on October 15, 2021, to contract with a qualified firm to administer the City's Public Art Program; and WHEREAS, three (3) firms responded to the RFP on November 5, 2021; and WHEREAS, a Bid Review Committee (Committee) consisting of the Director of Community Development, Assistant Director of Community Development, the Deputy Finance Director and the Public Information Officer met on November 15, 2021, to review and evaluate the three submittals; and WHEREAS, the Committee ranked the following three (3) firms based on their pricing and qualifications: 1) The Cultural Planning Group, LLC 2) Design Local; and 3) MAD Arts; and WHEREAS, the City Bid Selection Committee recommends that Cultural Planning Group be awarded the Agreement pursuant to RFP No. 21-030; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed as being true and correct, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the Commission approves the bid award to Cultural Planning Group and further authorizes the proper City officials to negotiate final terms and execute an Agreement for these services; provided, however that no agreement will be effective unless and until City officials complete the execution of the Agreement. Section 3. That the amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) was planned and funded for these services in the Community Development Department FY 2021-2022 budget. Section 4. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to the Agreement related to the work as are deemed necessary and proper for the best interests of the City. Section 5: That the City Commission authorizes the annual vendor threshold of Twenty -Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) to be exceeded each fiscal year the contract is in place subject to and made within the Community Development Department's approved level of annual budget appropriations from the Public Art Fund, Account No. 155-00-00-366-01-07. Section 6. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 7. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 14, 2021.
