AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 8, ENTITLED "SEAL" OF PART
I, "THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH", ARTICLE I,
ENTITLED "GENERAL PROVISIONS", OF THE CITY CHARTER TO
DESIGNATE THE NEW OFFICIAL SEAL OF THE CITY, AS AUTHORIZED
BY FLORIDA STATUTES, SECTION 165.043, ENTITLED "OFFICIAL
COUNTY OR MUNICIPAL SEAL"; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That pursuant to Florida Statutes, Section 165.043, entitled "Official
county or municipal seal",the City of Dania Beach, Florida wishes to amend Part 1 of the City of
Dania Beach Charter, which Part is entitled "The Municipality of the City of Dania Beach,
Article 1 entitled"General Provisions", Section 8 entitled"Seal"to read as follows:
Sec. 8—Seal.
The official seal of the City of Dania Beach shall bear the legend "Br-e.,ar- 's First Cit
Dania eaeh ineer^^rated- "Dania Beach—Established 1904."
Section 2. That if any section, clause, sentence or phrase of this Ordinance is for any
reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances and all resolutions or parts of
resolutions in conflict with this Ordinance, are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take full effect immediately upon its passage and
adoption.
PASSED on first reading on April 24, 2018.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on second reading on May 8, 2018.
