HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2019-033 City Authorizing to Execute an Optional Five (5) Year Renewal of the Existing Agreement w/ Westrec Marina Management, Inc., for Management of the Pier and Bait Shop ($175,000.00) RESOLUTION NO. 2019-033 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO EXECUTE AN OPTIONAL FIVE (5) YEAR RENEWAL OF THE EXISTING AGREEMENT WITH WESTREC MARINA MANAGEMENT, INC. A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION, LICENSED TO DO BUSINESS IN FLORIDA, FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE PIER AND BAIT SHOP WHICH SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ANNUAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($175,000.00); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City awarded a contract for pier management and bait shop services to Westrec Marina Management, Inc., a California Corporation licensed to do business in Florida, under RFP 14-001 executed on August 1, 2014, which provides for a five (5) year renewal option, subject to approval of both Westrec Marina Management, Inc. and the City; and WHEREAS, Westrec desires and is willing to continue the services agreement for the optional five(5) year renewal with no increase in cost; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the existing agreement with Westrec be extended for the five (5) year period to provide pier management and bait shop services at an annual amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00), reflecting no increase to the present annual maximum service cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA: Section 1. That the proper City officials are authorized to execute the optional five (5) year renewal of an existing Agreement with Westrec, for pier management and bait shop services, and subject to an annual maximum billing amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00)per year. Section 2. That funding and appropriations are planned for each year and are available in the City's Pier Fund, Recreational Department Budget Account No. 405-72-15-572- 34-10. Section 3. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to such Renewal Agreement as are deemed necessary and proper and in the best interests of the City. Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on A ril 9, 2019.
