Government Inc.; Providing for Conflicts; Further Providing for an Effective Date. RESOLUTION NO. 2019-124 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO AWARD INVITATION TO BID ("ITB") NO. 19-010 FOR BUILDING CODE SERVICES TO C.A.P. GOVERNMENT INC.; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City posted and advertised Request for Proposal ("RFP")No. 19-010 on the City of Dania Beach's website, Demand Star and in the local newspaper on July 18, 2019 and WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.; and WHEREAS, two (2)bidders submitted their respective bids: Name Citv C.A.P. Government, Inc. Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Calvin Giordano &Associates Port Orange, Florida; and WHEREAS, the Bid Review Committee held a review meeting on August 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall to evaluate the bids that were received; and WHEREAS, both bidders were deemed qualified, responsive and responsible by the Bid Review Committee; and WHEREAS, the Bid Review Committee recommended that the responsive and responsible bidder for the requested service is C.A.P. Government, Inc.; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed as being true and correct, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Commission approves the bid award to C.A.P. Government Inc., and further authorizes the proper City officials to negotiate an Agreement for the services; provided, however no agreement will be effective unless and until the City Commission first approves it and City officials complete the execution of the Agreement. Section 3. That the funds are budgeted each fiscal year and are available and appropriated in the Building Fund, Professional Services, Account No. 107-15-02-524-3 1-10. Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption PASSED and ADOPTED on October 7, 2019.
