Home My WebLink AboutR-2020-011 City Authorizing to Award Invitation to Bid No. 19-012 For the ''Community Development Block Grant Years 43 and 44 Neighborhood Improvements Project for Installation of Solar Lights - REBID RESOLUTION NO. 2020-011 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO AWARD INVITATION TO BID ("ITB") NO. 19-012 FOR THE "COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") YEARS 43 AND 44 NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FOR INSTALLATION OF SOLAR LIGHTS - REBID" TO IMPERIAL ELECTRICAL INCORPORATED IN THE NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED NINETY THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($293,600.00); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach, Florida ("City") advertised ITB No. 19-012, "CDGB Years 43 and 44 Neighborhood Improvements Project for Installation of Solar Lights - Rebid on the City website, DemandStar and in the Sun-Sentinel newspaper on September 25, 2019; and WHEREAS, a mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 10:30; and WHEREAS, on Friday, October 25, 2019, bids were opened and reviewed by the Bid Review Committee, a copy of the Bid Tabulation Sheet is attached as Exhibit"A" and made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference; and WHEREAS, there were five (5)bidders as follows: Vendor: Amount: 1. AUM Construction, Inc. $324,800.00 2. D Electrical Services, Inc. $326,750.00 3. Imperial Electrical Incorporated $293,600.00 4. Sagaris Corp. $304,000.00 5. Transportation Solutions and Lighting $303,948.00; and WHEREAS, the Bid Review Committee concluded with a unanimous decision to award ITB No.19-012 to the lowest and most responsive bidder, Imperial Electrical, Inc.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed as being true and correct, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the proper City officials are authorized to execute an agreement with Imperial Electrical Incorporated and to provide installation of solar lights in the not to exceed amount of Two Hundred Ninety Three Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($293,600.00). Section 3. That funding for this project is available and appropriated in the Grant Fund CDBG Years 43 and 44 Solar Lighting Account No. 103-39-64-541-10. Section 4. That the City Manager and the City Attorney are authorized to make minor revisions to the Agreement as are deemed necessary and proper and in the best interest of the City. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on January 28, 2020.
