A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO
ENGAGE SERVICES FROM A.F.L.C. INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF TWENTY
TWO THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS ($22,912.00) FOR
THE DEMOLITION OF TWO BUILDINGS LOCATED AT THE BOISEY
WAITERS PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1399 STIRLING ROAD; PROVIDING
FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, two City-owned unoccupied buildings are currently located on a 2.4 acre
City property located on Stirling Road known as the Boisey Waiters parcel; and
WHEREAS, these buildings are in a state of disrepair and have been used exclusively for
storage over the past two decades; and
WHEREAS, the buildings are no longer useful and only limit use of the land upon which
the structures are located; and
WHEREAS, City Administration deems it necessary and appropriate to demolish the
buildings and grade the terrain so that future uses of the property include a full range of options;
and
WHEREAS, the Public Services Department has obtained three (3) quotes for the
demolition and site work, resulting in A.F.L.C. Inc., being recommended as the lowest priced
qualified respondent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the above "WHEREAS" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they
are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes the City Manager to purchase
services from A.F.L.C. Inc. at a cost of Twenty Two Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve Dollars
($22,912.00) for the demolition of structures located at 1399 Stirling Road.
Section 3. That funding for these services shall be appropriated from General Fund
Unassigned Fund Balance, requiring a budget amendment that increases both revenue and
expenditure accounts, as follows:
Appropriated Fund Balance: 001-00-00-389-90-01 $22,912.00
Public Services R&M Buildings: 001-39-02-539-46-40 $22,912.00
Section 4. That the City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to make minor
revisions to the necessary documents as are deemed necessary and proper and in the best interest
of the City.
Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. That this Resolution shall be in force and take effect immediately upon its
passage and adoption.

We hereby submit specifications for a complete demolition of structures at the above referenced
addresses.
Scope Of Work:
1-Demolition includes removing and hauling away existing two 1story CBS structures of
approximately 3,036sgft g
2-Demolition includes removing and hauling away all existing foundation,footers and associated
pipes.
3-Demolition includes grade disturbed area with no backfill of new material.
4-AFLC.INC. is responsible for permit processing and utilities capping(water,sewer,fpl).
Exclusions:
Permits Fees(City,Utilities,Derm),Property Survey, Tree Survey, Asbestos Survey&Abatement
Cost, Removal Of Asphalt Driveway, Removal Of Trees, Fill Material Or Top Soil, MOT Fees,
Installation Of Perimeter Fence,Installation Of Sod
Cost:
We hereby propose to furnish equipment and labor to complete in accordance with the above
specifications,for the sum of $22,912.00 with payment to be made when job has been completed.
Price is valid for 90 days after the above-mentioned screening is completed.Job is to be completed
within 15 working days from job commencement. Any alteration or deviation from above
specifications involving extra costs,will be executed only upon written orders, and will become an
extra charge over and above the estimate.

Time Of Commencement:
The work to be performed under this agreement shall be commenced after a Notice of
Commencement is filed and no later than a notice to proceed and all permits have been issued. All
work shall be performed in an expeditious manner.
General Conditions:
1. AFLC,Inc.is not responsible for any damage to existing asphalt driveway.
2. AFLC, Inc. is not responsible for inevitable damage done to walls and foundation.
3. AFLC,Inc. has all salvage rights. All existing recyclable items are included in this proposal
price. There items included,but are not limited to the following: aluminum,copper, electrical
panels,furniture,anything of value, etc. any items needed to be salvage by Owner or GC that
is not part of AFLC's recycling proceeds counted in the given estimate is to be removed prior
to commencement of demolition.
4. All items removed by AFLC, Inc. including the proceeds,if any,shall become property of
AFLC, Inc..
5. AFLC will not take responsibility for any damages that may occur to salvageable items once
work has commenced.
6. If bonds are required,Owner will provide applicable bonds at no cost to AFLC, Inc.
7. AFLC, Inc.also guarantees to remove all equipment of said project location upon completion
of demolition.
8. AFLC, Inc. is not responsible for unforeseen consequences or events due to failure of
structures and/or building materials not seen.

The above prices, specifications and conditions are hereby accepted. You are authorized to do the
work as specified. Payment will be made as outlined above.

We propose to furnish all permits,equipment, labor, insurance,materials, and all required
licenses, to complete the scope of work listed below. City of dania beach to waive all permit
fees and supply property survey,FPL letter and sewer cap&hose bib.Payment due upon
completion.
Work will commence within_ days after receipt of the properly accepted contract and will be
completed within`working days after starting date, as long as permits are issued on time.
