A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING ADVANCE APPROVAL FROM THE
CITY COMMISSION TO PROCEED WITH THE BID ADVERTISEMENT
FOR THE SOUTHWEST 54TH COURT STORMWATER DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on December 8, 2020, the City Commission authorized the Southwest 54ffi
Court Stormwater Drainage Improvement Project, along with other neighborhood drainage
projects, to address chronic flooding; and
WHEREAS, the Public Services Department ("PSD") engaged Chen Moore and
Associates to design, create construction documents, permit, and provide post design services
for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the design is nearly complete, and the project will require bidding in the
coming weeks;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this
reference.
Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes staff to proceed with the SW 54"'
Court Stormwater Drainage Improvement Project construction competitive bidding with funding
of approximately Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000.00) currently available in
Stormwater Management other than Buildings Account Number 403-38-31-538-63-10.
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall be in force and become effective upon its
passage and adoption.
