A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF INVITATION TO BID
("ITB") NO. 22-011-YEAR 46/47 CDBG SOLAR LIGHTS PROJECT TO AUM
CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE
HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWENTY
DOLLARS ($373,620.00); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2021, the City Commission of the City of Dania Beach
authorized a funding agreement with the Broward County Housing Finance and Community
Redevelopment Division (Division) for the Year 46/47 CDBG Solar Lights Project in the
amount of Three Hundred Ninety -Six Thousand Four Hundred Ninety -One Dollars
($396,491.00); and
WHEREAS, on November 9, 2021, the City Commission of the City of Dania Beach
approved Resolution 2021-168, authorizing the Public Services Department (PSD) to issue an
("ITB") No. 22-011 for the Year 46/47 CDBG Solar Lights Project; and
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2022, the City received four responses to ITB No. 2022-011,
shown below:
1. AUM Construction, Inc. $373,620.00
2. Signal Technologies and Installation Corp. $417,212.89
3. Imperial Electric, Inc. $449,200.00
4. Boromei Construction, Inc. $495,576.00; and
WHEREAS, the Bid Committee's assessment of the bid packages provided by the
respondents, reviewed by the consultant project engineer, resulted in the selection of AUM
Construction, Inc. as the lowest and most qualified;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are
made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes the proper City officials to execute
a contract with AUM Construction, Inc. for the Year 46/47 CDBG Solar Lights Project- in an
amount not to exceed Three Hundred Seventy -Three Thousand Six Hundred Twenty Dollars
($373,620.00).
Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and adoption.
