Bid Award for Fire Rescue Station No. 1 Window Replacement (ITB 22-019) RESOLUTION NO. 2022-130 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF INVITATION TO BID ("ITB") NO. 22-019 ENTITLED, "FIRE RESCUE STATION #1 WINDOW REPLACEMENT" TO JULIANA ENTERPRISES, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SIXTY-SIX THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED ELEVEN DOLLARS AND NINETY CENTS ($66,411.90); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Dania Beach entered into an agreement with the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funding for the Fire Rescue Station No. 1 Retrofit and Generator Project (Project) to harden Station No. 1 by replacing the windows, providing a new roof and replacing the station's generator; and WHEREAS, on June 8, 2022, the City received one (1) response to ITB No. 22-019 from Juliana Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of$66,411.90; and WHEREAS, on June 8, 2022, the Bid Selection Committee, consisting of the CIP and Grants Administrator, the Project Manager, and the Fire District Chief, assessment of the bid package provided by the respondent, reviewed by the consultant project engineer, resulted in the selection of Juliana Enterprises, Inc. as the lowest and most qualified bidder.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes the proper City officials to execute an agreement with Juliana Enterprises, Inc. for Fire Rescue Station No. 1 Window Replacement Project. Section 3. That funding will be appropriated from the Grants Fund/Infrastructure Improvements Account No. 103-22-65-522-63-10 in the amount not to exceed $66,411.90. Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on August 23, 2022.
