Public Art Advisory Board
Regular Meeting
Thursday, June 9, 2022
5:00 P.M.
The meeting was called to order at 5:04 P.M.

Attended
Linda Flynn presented an introduction to the Public Art Advisory Board Members and asked that
each of the Board Members as well as Commission Davis introduce themselves and provide some
background on their interests and how they relate to art.
Corinne Lajoie presented the history of Public Art in Dania Beach.
Ms. Flynn gave an overview of the roles and responsibilities of the Board Members and that the
Board Members may need to appoint a Chair.
As.
Flynn also gave a Public Art presentation which showed public art throughout different areas
of the United States.
There was discussion among the Board Members of the objectives and goals of Public Art being
implemented in Dania Beach. The Board Members provided their ideas of what type of art they
would like to see in Dania Beach as well as the location of the art.
The Board Members discussed having local artists provide the Board with their vision of the types
of art to be displayed in the City.
4. OLD BUSINESS:

5. DISCUSSION/ACTION:
• Discussion will be made at the next meeting regarding the City's budget for the Public Art
Fund.
• Board agreed to have the Public Art Advisory Board meetings the third Monday of each
month.
• Next PAAB Regular Meeting will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:25 P.M.
