Home My WebLink AboutR-2022-168 Vehicles Purchase for Public Services Department Under FSA Contract FSA22-VEL30 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-168 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE FOUR (4) FORD VEHICLES FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT, IN AN AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS ($200,429.00), WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING AND WITHOUT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, BY UTILIZING THE PRICING UNDER THE FLORIDA SHERIFFS ASSOCIATION ("FSA") CONTRACT FSA22-VEL30; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Dania Beach, Part III, Article 3, Section 4, Subsection (j), authorizes the City Manager to purchase supplies, services, equipment and materials for the City government in amounts in excess of the established monetary threshold without competitive bidding and without advertisement for bids if she is authorized to do so in advance by a resolution adopted by the City Commission and if such purchases are made pursuant to a competitive bid obtained within the last eighteen (18) months by other government agencies such as the federal government, state of Florida or a Florida municipality or county; and WHEREAS, the Dania Beach Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article 1, Section 2-10, "Monetary thresholds for certain purchases and payment disbursement authorizations", Subsection(a), sets the monetary threshold or limitation at $50,000.00; and WHEREAS, the fiscal year 2022-2023 approved budget includes funding for the purchase of four(4) vehicles; and WHEREAS,the Director of the Public Services Department has determined that vehicles needed by the City can be purchased at the least cost to the City from awarded vendors utilizing the pricing under the FSA Contract FSA22-VEL30, attached as Exhibit "A," a copy of which is made a part of and is incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH,FLORIDA: Section 1. That the foregoing "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and they are made a specific part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized to purchase four (4) Ford vehicles for the Public Services Department by utilizing the pricing under the Florida Sheriffs Association (FSA) Contract FSA22-VEL30 valid through September 30, 2023. Section 3. That funding for this purchase is available and appropriated in the FY 2022-2023 budget from the following sources: Department Vehicle Description Cost GL Account Streets Ford F-250 with Liftgate $47,331.00 506-39-03-539-64-30 Streets Ford F-250 with Utility Body $53,121.00 506-39-03-539-64-30 Streets Ford F-250 Crew Cab $46,856.00 506-39-03-539-64-30 Stormwater Ford F-250 with Utility Body $53,121.00 403-38-01-538-64-30 Grand Total $200,429.00 Section 4. That the City Manager is authorized to purchase the vehicles under the FSA contracts as stipulated above, and the City Commission authorizes the proper City officials to execute such documents as are necessary for the purchase of such vehicles. Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 6.
