Bid Award for Repairs to Historic Nyberg-Swanson House and Women’s Club Buildings (ITB 22-025) RESOLUTION NO. 2022-178 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF INVITATION TO BID ("ITB") NO. 22-025, ENTITLED "REPAIRS TO HISTORIC NYBERG- SWANSON HOUSE AND WOMEN'S CLUB BUILDINGS" TO PERSONS SERVICES CORP. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY-NINE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($39,602.50); PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS,the Nyberg-Swanson House and Women's Club needs repairing to prevent water intrusion through the window and roof soffit; and WHEREAS, the Public Services Department ("PSD") engaged Bender and Associates Architects to evaluate, design, and prepare construction documents for the necessary repairs; and WHEREAS, on July 22, 2022, the City issued an Invitation to Bid ("ITB") No. 22-025 for"Repairs to Historic Nyberg-Swanson House and Women's Club Buildings"Project; and WHEREAS, on August 19, 2022, the City received two responses to ITB No. 2022-025, shown below: 1. Persons Services Corp. $39,602.50 2. Conengineers Builders LLC $49,219.41; and WHEREAS, the Bid Committee's, consisting of the Deputy Director/City Engineer, Project Manager, and CIP and Grants Administrator, assessment of the bid packages provided by the respondents, reviewed by the consultant project engineer, resulted in the selection of Persons Services Corp. as the lowest and most qualified. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That the City Commission authorizes the proper City officials to execute an agreement with Persons Services Corp. for the Repairs to Historic Nyberg-Swanson House and Women's Club Buildings Project in an amount not to exceed Thirty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($39,602.50). Section 3. That funding will be appropriated from the Capital Projects Fund Account Number 301-18-12-519-63-10 in the amount not to exceed Thirty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Two Dollars and Fifty Cents ($39,602.50). Section 4. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 5. That this Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED on November 21, 2022.
