HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2023-076 SHI Authorization to Exceed $50kRESOLUTION NO. 2023-0-As A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING PURCHASES OF HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FROM SIR INTERNATIONAL CORP. THAT EXCEED THE ANNUAL VENDOR THRESHOLD TOTAL AMOUNT OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($50,000.00); AUTHORIZING SUCH PURCHASES WITHIN THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FUND FISCAL YEAR 2022-23 APPROVED ANNUAL BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Dania Beach Code of Ordinances, Chapter 2, Article 1, Section 2-10, "Monetary thresholds for certain purchases and payment disbursement authorizations", Subsection (a), sets the monetary threshold at $50,000.00 for a vendor each fiscal year; and WHEREAS, SHI International Corp. (SHI) is the City's current provider of Microsoft Office365 licenses and the Information Systems Division has planned, in the fiscal year 2022-23 budget; and WHEREAS, the Information Systems Division is seeking approval to waive formal bidding and purchase Office365 licenses and other necessary hardware, software, and professional services from SHI under NASPO Subcontract #43230000-23-NASPO-ACS; and WHEREAS, the total amount of purchases from SHI for fiscal year 2022-23 will exceed the Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) annual purchase threshold for a single vendor and, therefore, require City Commission approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That all purchases of hardware, software, and professional services made from SHI under the NASPO Subcontract #43230000-23-NASPO-ACS are authorized to exceed the annual amount of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) purchase threshold for a single vendor for fiscal year 2022-23. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 4.
