CHARTER REVIEW BOARD - MINUTES
CITY HALLN.W. CONFERENCE ROOM
IOO W DANIA BEACH BLVD.
MONDAY. JUNE 5.2023 - 5:00 P.M.
1. Call to Order/Roll Call
The meeting was called to order at 5:02 p.m.
City Clerk Elora Riera called the roll, and the following were present:
Board Members:A.J. Ryan III
Luis Rimoli
Mimi Donly
Kemula Wright
Bob Lizana
Morris Stowers (arrived at 5:06 p.m.)
Jennifer Harley
Gloria Black (Altemate member)
Charlotte Sloboda (Alternate member)
Jay Dick (Altemate member)

2. Approval of Meeting Minutes: May 31,2023
Chair Ryan commented that item 4 listed himself as the Vice Chair and it should state Mimi
Donly.
Chair Ryan motioned to approve the minutes with the amendment. Board Member Lizana
seconded the motion which carried unanimously by voice vote.
3. Review and Discussion of Articles I & 2 of City Charter
City Attomey Boutsis did not realize how small Articles 1 & 2 were. Moving forward, she
suggested that the Board review the Charter by its Parts since those provide more substance for
review. She suggested that the Board review parts I and 2 at their next meeting, which goes up to
page 14 and the Board agreed
Discussion ensued regarding upcoming meetings. After some discussion, tlere was consensus
from the Board to meet dn Monday, June 26th at 5:00 p.m., recess in July and meet again on
Wednesday, August 15th at 5:00 p.m.
The Board also suggested adding a Discussion section to their agendas.

The meeting adjoumed at 5:14 p.m.
