HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-2023-152 Appropriation of Administrative Impact Fees for City Hall Atrium ProjectRESOLUTTON No.20n-f2z A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE IMPACT FEES FOR THE DESIGN OF A CITY HALL ATRIUM EXPANSION AND MODERNIZATION OF THE ATRIUM AND CITY COMMISSION CHAMBER; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER. PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Administration obtained conceptual renderings from Saltz Michelson Architects (SMA) for the addition of office space within the City Hall Atrium and other lobby and Commission Chamber modemization improvements (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, on November 14, 2023, t}te Finance Department presented the conceptual renderings to the City Commission and obtained authorization to proceed with the design of the Project; and WHEREAS, SMA, which has a CCNA continuing services agreement with the City, provided a proposal for a total cost of One Hundred Fifty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Ninety Dollars ($ 159,690.00) for the design ofthe Project; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriation of Administrative Impact Fees for the design proposal. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH. FLORIDA: Section 1. That the above "Whereas" clauses are true and conect, and they are made a part ofand incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. Section 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent of such conflict. Section 3. That the City Administration is authorized to appropriate Administrative Impact Fees from General Fund Revenue Account No. 001 -00-00-324-72-01 in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000.00) for the design of the Project to cover the SMA proposal and other ancillary costs, which proposal is attached as "Exhibit A," and made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. The funding will be transferred to the City Hall Improvement Project Account No. 301- l8- 13-519-31- 10 in the Capital Projects Fund. Section 4. That the current balance of Administrative Impact Fees is approximately Six Hundred Eighty-Two Thousand Dollars ($682,000.00), and sufhcient to cover the design cost. Section 5.
