AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE
"DANIA BEACH FIRE STATION NO. 93 PLAT", SUCH PROPERTY BEING
LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SW 45TH STREET AND SW 30TH
AVENUE, DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT
"A", A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THIS ORDINANCE; ACCEPTING
THE DEDICATION FOR PUBLIC USE OF ALL STREETS, HIGHWAYS AND
ALLEYS AS SHOWN ON SUCH PLAT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; FURTHER,. PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the plat of "Dania Beach Fire Station No. 93 Plat", for property
generally located at the southwest comer of SW 45th Street and SW 30th Avenue, within the
City of Dania Beach and legally described in exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached to this
0 Ordinance, is accepted and approved. The City consents and agrees that such plat may be
recorded in the Public Records of Broward County, Florida, upon further approval of all agencies
of Broward County, Florida, having jurisdiction in the matter.
Section 2. That the dedication for public use of all streets, highways and alleys, as
shown on the plat of "Dania Beach Fire Station No. 93 Plat", is accepted by the City.
Section 3. That if any section, clause, sentence or phrase of this Ordinance is for any
reason held invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, the holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
Section 4. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of
this Ordinance are repealed.

Section 5. That this Ordinance shall be effective immediately at adoption on second
reading.

SUBJECT: PL-56-04: Request to plat the property to allow a
fire station/BSO substation to be located at the
southwest corner of SW 45 Street and SW 30
Avenue (SECOND READING).
City Commission
To allow the construction of a municipally owned and operated fire
station and BSO substation.
As part of the recent bond referendum, City of Dania Beach voters
approved the construction and equipping of a fire station with a Broward
Sheriff's Office Substation. As such, staff is now moving forward with
pre -development preparations to construct a Fire Station/BSO Substation
on the property.
The project also required Special Exception approval and Site Plan
approval, which are granted by the City Commission.
Representatives of both BSO and Fire -Rescue have been asked to attend
the City Commission public hearing.

1) Approval limited to Fire Station and BSO Substation only not
to exceed 11,600 square feet.
2) Vehicular access to be provided along SW 3 Oth Avenue (No
