On a motion ackson, secondeC by Comnrissioner Kay, -lhe Commission voted 'lhese bids be readvertiscd and opened at a special meeting that v:s set for June lOfh at 8:00 p,r,n. All bidders that had taken out spec i f ications will be notified. Discussion r.ra s held concerning making Southwest 4th Avenue from Sheridan to Dixie one-vray, After much discussion and opposition, Tony Reasons, Traffic Engineer for the City of Hollyvicod vrithdrew the request. Southwest 4th Avenue is to rernain two-way as is at the present. 10. The City Attorney read on second and final reading an ordinance amending the Charter to provide for a l0$ interest rate on special assessments. On a motion by Commissioner Jackson, seconded by Comrnissioner Kay, the Commlssion ll. The City l.{anager requested thaf the Commission authorize him to handle a 11. The l'lana-qer requested Cornmission approval of the order to remove delapidated buildinqs from lfOO South Federal Highriay. The Ci+y Attorney stated that he rvould bring back 'fo the Commission an ordinance which r'rould au-lhorize the Manager to handle these matters in the future withou'f bringin-c1 them to the Commission except where the ottnar desired 'to appeal to the Commisslon frorn tho action of the l,'ianager- On a moiion by Vice l'layor Duncanson, seconded by Coinmissioner Jackson the ordinance was authorized to be dralrn- The vote was unan imous.
