Recently, there have been questions concerning a timefor the approval which granted permission to constructadult congregate living units at 300 Sheridan Street. limit 243 In checking the records for the review of the project, I canfind no record of any sort of time limitation. AIso, thereis no genera] time limitation in the zoning ordinance. TheCity of Dania took six seperate actions in 1.985 and 1985 approving the proposed use. A plat was approved for the 4.9507 acre site on April 23, L985. A text change was madeto the Zoning Ordinance on August 27, 1985 permitting adult congregate living units as a special exception in the Rlt-2 district. The property was rezoned to RM-2 on September 10,I985. At the September 10, 1985 meeting, the Comprehensive Plan tras amended to shor., the site as Irregular Residential 49 on the land use map. on september 24, 1985, a special excepEion j.n the RM-2 district eras granted for the congregateliving units. Fina1ly, the sit.e plan was approved on January I4, 1986 for 243 Iiving units. As stated earlier, the minutes of the City Commission meetings do not indicate Ehere are any time Iimitations onthe approval. There are no tapes of the meetings to review as alI tapes prior to October 1986 have been destroyed. Therefore, there does not seem to be any hray to revisit theissue as approvals are already in place. Frank Adler, City Attorney r
