1. I{ater Plant Renovation/Expansion Schedufe and approxinate costs
associated with those Projects -
Don l,lindham, Berry & calvin Engineers, reported on the need
shut down the tuo treatment units at the plant to determi'ne -
need for repair or repl'acement parts' Mr' Windham mentioned

completefy replaced.
Mr. Calvin explained that he has utilized and updated the 198
ierry C Calvin study to analyze the needs at the Water Plant'

million gallons of water a day, rehabilitation of the tHo
treating units. THU standards and regulations that will be
implerneited over the next decade and other treatment methods

Mr. Calvin presented a time chart showinq that the
rehabilitatitn <tcsiqn fot 7997/92 will be ready for bid
october of this year and that construction of the water
witl take at least 250 workj.ng days to complete'
Lisa Lane, Rachlin & cohen, reminded the Commission of their
recent rate study presented earlier this year expl-aining
anticipated dol1ar costs and short-term and long-term
alternitives for water supply. Ms. Lane explained that she will
,pa"t. her study once she obtalns the engineering cost estimates
