Home My WebLink AboutR-2024-156 Parks and Rec Amended Fee ScheduleRESOLUTION NO.2O24.WL A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTINC THE AMENDED PARKS AND RECREATION SCT{EDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTTVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department (the "Department") staff has evaluated the existing fees in order to recommend appropriate revisions for the City Commission to review and approve; and WHEREAS, the Department reviewed the existing fees in comparison to the surrounding cities to determine if updates need to be made to the current fees to remain competitive and to ensure that the City better recoups its expenses in running facilities, membership and rentals; and WHEREAS,theproposedamendedfeeschedule,attachedasExhibit..A''(the "Amended Fee Schedule"), will put the city's fees on far with the fees charged by surrounding municipalities with comparable facilities and services; and WHEREAS, the Amended Fee Schedule, attached Exhibit "A," is reasonable; and WHEREAS, any fee not specific to the Amended Fee schedule, attached Exhibit "A," a fee may be implemented or revised by the City Manager or Designee; and WHEREAS, the City commission deems it to be in the best interest of the city to adopt the Amended Fee Schedule, attached as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA BEACII, FLORIDA: section l. That the above "whereas" clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are made a part ofand incorporated into this Resolution by this reference. section 2. That the city commission adopts the Amended Fee Schedule as shown in Exhibit ..A". [n the event of doubt or ambiguity, the city Manager is authorized to resolve or interpret the appropriate fee. Section 3. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are repealed to the extent ofsuch conflict. Section 4.
