Mayor Ryan called for a moment of silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the United
States Flag.

Cit-v Manager Carcia introduced the item and presented Commissioner James'*'ith a token of
appreciation fbr her service to the City ol Dania Beach.

J. ACCEPTANCE OF CERTIFICATION OF GENERAL ELECTION
I. CALLTO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Mayor Ryan called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m.
Present:
2.1 Presentation to Commissioner Tamara James - Citl Manager
Vice Mavor Lewellen made a motion to approve. Commissioner James seconded the
motion which carried unanimouslv on voice vote.
3.1 Motion to Accept Certification olGeneral Election Results from the Broward County
Canvassing Board - City Clerk

Vice Ma1'or Len'ellen made a motion to accept the Certification of the General Election
results from the Broward County Canvassing Board for the November 5,202.1 Municipal
Election. Commissioner Dalis seconded the motion which carried unanimoush'on voice
vote.
-+. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE FOR NEWLY ELECTED OFFICIALS
l. Commissioner-Elect Luis Rimoli Swearing in by Lacey Rimoli-Wiesel and Alex Rimoli
City'. Manager Garcia advised that City Clerk Riera administered the official Oath ol Office to
Commissioner-Elect Luis Rimoli earlier in the dar'.
Lacel' fumoli-Wiesel and Alex Rimoli administered the ceremonial Oath of Office to
Commissioner-Elect Luis Rimoli.
Commissioner Rimoli congratulated all the candidates that ran this election and thanked
everyone who supported him. He commented that he looks forward to serving the residents of
Dania Beach and is going to do everything possible to make the right decisions on behalfofthem
and the cit1,. Ile thanked Tamara James for dedicating herself to the city for eight years and
uished her the best of luck in her next chapters. He said he looks tbrn ard to working uith
Mayor-Elect Davis and Vice Mayor-Elect Salvino.
2. Vice Mayor-Elect Marco A. Salvino Sr. Swearing in by City Clerk Elora Riera. MMC
Ciry.- Clerk Elora Riera. MMC administered the Oath of Office to Vice Mayor-Elect Marco A.
Salvino Sr.
Vice Mayor Salvino said he has enjoyed being on the Commission and is thankful to all the
residents who voted fbr him, and for those that did not, he is going to make them believers and is
going to continue to work hard for the city. He commented that in 2014. when he was Mayor. he
took criticism for all the development that was going on. but everyone is enjoying Dania Pointe.
and he takes the stance that it was the right decision for the citl'. He thanked City Manager
Garcia tbr bringing the city's strategic plan as it has really come into place and a lot has been
accomplished. He thanked his family and everyone for their support.

Mayor Davis's father addressed the Commission and audience and thanked the residents fbr
giving Mayor Dalis the opportunity to sen'e as their commissioner and noll'rewarding her u'ith
the opportunir_y* to become their ma1or.
Mayor Davis thanked her f'ather and congratulated Vice Mayor Salvino and Commissioner
Rimoli. She said with this team and the citl's adminislration. Dania Beach got it right. The
Commission will work hard fbr the residents in the future. and she is excited to work with
everyone fbr the next tbur years. Mayor Davis told a story from her childhood and said she will
nork hard every single da1 so that the residents are proud to call her their ma1or.
