A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DANIA
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH C.A.P. GOVERNMENT, INC. FOR
BUILDING DEPARTMENT SERVICES RELATED TO REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS (“RFP”) NO. 2027; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; FURTHER
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City posted and advertised Request for Proposals (“RFP”) No. 24-027
entitled “Building Department Services” on the City of Dania Beach’s website, OpenGov, and in
the local newspaper on October 10, 2024; and
WHEREAS, responses were opened on Friday, November 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. and the
City received three (3) qualified proposals from the following firms:
Willdan Engineering
C.A.P. Government, Inc.
Calvin Giordano & Associates; and
WHEREAS, the Selection Committee met on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
to evaluate and rank the proposals; and
WHEREAS, based on the Committee’s scores, it was determined that C.A.P. Government,
Inc. was the most responsive and responsible proposer; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department recommends that the City
Commission award RFP No. 24-027 to C.A.P. Government, Inc, and authorize the proper City
officials to execute an agreement, which agreement is attached as Exhibit “A” and incorporated
into this Resolution by this reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF DANIA BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the above “Whereas” clauses are ratified and confirmed, and they are
made a part of and incorporated into this Resolution by this reference.
Section 2. That the City Commission awards RFP No. 24-027 to C.A.P. Government,
Inc., and further authorizes the proper City officials to execute a final Agreement for the services.
Section 3. That the funds are budgeted each fiscal year and are available and
appropriated in the Building Fund, Professional Services, Account No. 107-15-02-524-31-10.
Section 4. That the City is authorized to exceed the Fifty Thousand Dollar
($50,000.00) vendor threshold for the services for all years that the Agreement is in effect.

Section 5. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution
are repealed to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. That this Resolution shall be effective 10 days after passage.
