Navigating Your Bill
Match the numbers below with the numbers on the front.
1.County Services Information - This is the contact information for questions about your utility bill or services.
2.Customer Name – This is your name.
3.Customer Number – This is your account number.
4.Service Address – This is the address where your county services are provided. This
address may be different than your billing address.
5.Meter Number – This is the serial identification of your water meter.
6.Statement Date – This is the date the billing system generated your bill.
7.Due Date – This is the date your bill is due. Payments made after this date are considered late.
8.Service Period – This is the time frame for this month’s service charges.
9.Statement Number – This is the statement number for this billing period.
10.Last Read – This shows the previous month’s meter read in thousands of gallons used.
11.Current Read - This shows the current month’s meter read in thousands of gallons used.
12.Usage – This shows the amount of water used since the last meter read in thousands of gallons.
13.Usage Last Year - This shows the amount of water used during the same period of last year in thousands of
gallons.
14.Balance Last Bill – This shows the total charge for the previous month’s bill.
15.Payments / Credits – This shows any payments that were received or credits applied
to your account during this billing cycle.
16.Past Due/Credit - This shows any amount that was not paid or any credit balance on your account by the time
the billing cycle closed.
17.Current Charges Amount - This shows all new fees related to the new service period.
18.Pay This Amount - This is the total amount of your current charges, plus any past
due charges.
19.QR Code - This QR code allows you to access account using a phone or tablet.
20.News and Notes - This section displays important information for our customers, such as hydrant flushing, and
other water updates.
21.Monthly Usage Graph - The consumption graph shows water usage over a 6-month period to assist customers
with water conservation efforts.
22.Amount Enclosed – This is the box to write in your payment amount.
23.Check Box 1 - This box should be checked if you are requesting changes to your mailing address.
24.Check Box 2 - This box should be checked if you want to enroll in Auto-payment program.
25.Customer Address - This is your information including name on the account and mailing address. Please always
keep your mailing address updated.
26.WWS Address - This is the address where utility payments should be sent. Utility bills may also be
paid online. In addition, customers may also sign up for paperless e-billing. For more information,
visit www.broward.org/water services or contact a Customer Service Representative at 954-831-3250.
27.Payment Coupon/Stub – Please return this portion of the bill with your payment and keep the top portion for
your records.
