Snapshot of Activity:
Support PATCH in restart of Mobile and on-site as well as maintaining online markets.
Finalize plan to institute a CSA called PATCH in the Box which will broaden customer base as
well as help growers determine produce mix and quantity when finalizing crop plans.
by determining product mix, creating value-add from herbs and uploading ordersheet.
Determined dates for the Memorial Healthcare to outline Market activities that will restart
in January 2022. Finalize plan and hold Grower and Partners Meet-up on September 29.
This event attracted Growers and Partners and explored opportunities for collaboration that
will increase the availability at locations that attract low income/low access populations
across Broward county. Participated in tele-meetings to discuss food access and attempts
to increase Market Gardens as economic development tools in low income/low access
communities across Broward county. at the end of September. This meeting will highlight
the connections between growers and partners in S. Florida. Worked with PATCH staff to
create a calendar of growing and nutrition education events for the reopening of the
Markets.
