PASTDUE PAY MENTS: Payment of current charges is due by the due date indicated on your bill. The City assesses a late penalty of 1% per month (12%annually) on any past due portion of the utility bill. Customers with a past due balance will receive a billing showing a cut-off date by which the past due balance must be paid to avoid service disconnection. Upon becoming past due,utility charges constitute a variable and accruing Statutory lien against the property. These past due charges may be recorded as a lien with Broward County, but are not required to be recorded to be effective and binding.
