Hi Tania,
It was nice seeing you today.
I need to issue a check pursuant to the aƩached Memo and Reso as follows:
$10,000 payable to Broward County Board of County Commissioners
The check needs to be mailed to:
Broward County Board of County Commissioners
Broward Cultural Division
AƩn: Chantel Seamore
100 S. Andrews Avenue, 6th Floor
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
The problem is when I go into request the check, the Vendors for Broward County Board of County Commissioners do
not have this address and/or to the aƩenƟon of the person to receive said check. That’s not a problem as far as the
aƩenƟon to, as I can request the check to be giving to me and then, I can mail the check directly to Ms. Seamore. My
concern is the address on the check.
Please advise as to how I should proceed.
Thanks,
Debbie

SUBJECT: Approval for the City to sponsor the 2024 IGNITE Broward Art & Light Festival partially
located at MAD Arts in Dania Beach
Request
The Public Art Advisory Board (PAAB) requests the City Commission approval to sponsor the 2024 IGNITE
Broward Art & Light Festival that will be partially located at MAD Arts located in Dania Beach. This re-
occurring county-wide public art event will be held January 24, 2023 - January 28, 2024.
Background
Now in its third year, IGNITE Broward, created by Broward County Cultural Division in partnership with Mad
Arts, is an immersive large-scale projection mapping and interactive light-based art and sound festival
featuring installations by top national and international artists at two stunning locations, Esplanade Park in
downtown Fort Lauderdale and Mad Arts in Dania Beach.
With each passing year, IGNITE Broward has grown in both size and influence, attracting a diverse range of
attendees, including aspiring entrepreneurs, talented artists, skilled professionals, and visionary leaders.
On October 16, 2023, the PAAB recommended the City sponsor this local public art event at the $25,000
sponsorship level. At this sponsorship level the City will receive City Logo placement signage, a guided tour
of Esplanade Park and Mad Arts installations, City Logo placement on all print and digital materials, invitations
to media preview at Mad Arts, tickets to VIP Kick-off Party at the Museum of Discovery and Science, skip the
line preferential access to installations, and swag bags.
This Twenty-Five Thousand Dollar sponsorship would include an expenditure of Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000) from the City’s Public Art Fund and a Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) value of in-kind services
provided on Friday, Saturday & Sunday by the City. These in-kind services include the use of the City’s parking
garage, two shuttle bus service to transport attendees to and from the City Hall parking garage and a BSO
police detail which will be paid from the City Manager’s Contingency Fund.
Budgetary Impact
The funding for this sponsorship is split and appropriated as indicated below;
Funding in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) will be appropriated from the City’s Public Art Fund
Account No. 115-15-01-515-31-10.
Funding in an amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000) needed for in-kind services that will
be provided by the City will be appropriated from the City Managers contingency fund, account #001-12-01-
512-99-10.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the resolution to sponsor the IGNITE Broward Art & Light
Festival at the Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) sponsorship level.
