Project: Dania Beach Microunits/Tiny Homes Regulation
PROGRESS REPORT # 3 October 1 – December 31, 2024
Dear Ms. Lajoie:
This progress report summarizes prior and current effort for each task for the Microunits/Tiny Homes
Regulations project, including percent effort completed this period and to date and next steps for each
task.
TASK 1: Existing Regulations Research
Prior Work: Conducted research on both local and national examples and reviewed current
code. Completed charts description and provided in a preliminary update.
Effort this Period: Task Complete. No new work.
Next Steps: Task Complete.
TASK 2: Draft Regulations
Prior Work: Completed review of first 4 districts, with preliminary code revisions drafted and
presented at internal meeting.
Effort this Period: Draft and revisions to separate ADU ordinance, continue work on the other
districts. Revised draft regulations based on staff feedback for each zoning
district once reviewed.
Next Steps: Revisions and review of regulations.
TASK 3: Reporting and Public Hearing Support
Effort this Period: Support in answering CAO questions. Draft presentation for PH.
Next Steps: Final reporting and Public Hearing PPT/Ordinance/Staff report support.
